Toronto Criminal Charges
Toronto is the largest jurisdiction for criminal charges. There are several criminal courthouses in Toronto. If your matter appears in the Ontario Court of Justice, your court appearance will be at one of the following courthouses:
- 2201 Finch Avenue West (Toronto West);
- 1000 Finch Avenue West (Toronto North);
- 60 Queens Street West (Old City Hall);
- 444 Young Street (College Park);
- 1911 Eglinton Avenue (Scarborough); or
If your matter is in the Superior Court of Justice, your matter will be at 361 University Avenue.
If you are facing Youth charges, you may be at a different courthouse. Youth charges are addressed at Toronto West, Scarborough, and 311 Jarvis Street.
In Spring 2023, all of the above-named courts will be amalgamated, so that only one location will exist for all set date appearances before the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto. The new courthouse will be located in Downtown Toronto, behind City Hall. Bail hearings will be heard at Toronto West court.
